A New Leaf: We offer hope, change, new beginnings and personal growth. A New Leaf operates programs across the Valley, providing homeless and domestic violence shelters, affordable housing, behavioral health services, foster care, and community access services.

Arizona Department of Economic Security: Your Partner for a Stronger Arizona. DES works with families, community organizations, advocates and state and federal partners to realize our collective vision that every child, adult, and family in the state of Arizona will be safe and economically secure.

Asbestos Compensation Fund: We help patients and families get compensation through asbestos and mesothelioma trust funds.

Boulder Crest Retreat:  Boulder Crest Retreat is the nation’s first privately-funded rural wellness center that is dedicated exclusively to our nation’s combat veterans and their families.

City of Mesa: Vets Connect: Local resources for veterans.

Consumer Finance:  The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is committed to helping with financial challenges affecting service members, veterans, and their families.

DES-Med Child Support Welfare: (Determined by need) Department of Economic Security (DES) works with families, community organizations, advocates and state and federal partners to ensure that each child, adult, and family in the state of Arizona will be safe and economically secure.

East Valley Veterans Education Center: The Maricopa Community Colleges East Valley Veterans Education Center (EVVEC) provides educational outreach and college advisement services to veterans and their family members at no cost. We offer a “one-stop-shop” where veterans can get practical information about community resources and educational services available to successfully pursue a college education. Additional services are provided by in-house educational and community partners.

eBenefits.va.gov: Provides benefit information for veterans and service members. This is a service provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.

Financial Resources and Discounts: Military families have a lot to deal with – emotionally, logistically, and financially. What benefits are out there for military families to make life a bit easier for them? Where can they find discounts and deals? This helpful financial guide is aimed specifically to help military family members learn about the different resources, federal programs, retail discounts, and deals for dependents of U.S. soldiers.

Fisher House Foundation:  The Fisher House Foundation provides free or low cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers.

Fishing With Warriors:   Fishing With Warriors is a nonprofit military and veterans charity service organization that takes veterans on all expense paid fishing trips.

Homeless Women Vets:  VA is taking steps to improve and expand services for women Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.

Honor Flight Transports veterans to Washington D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor the service and sacrifices of themselves and their friends.

HUD-VASH: The HUD-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program combines Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance for homeless Veterans with case management and clinical services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  VA provides these services for participating Veterans at VA medical centers (VAMCs) and community-based outreach clinics.

Jobs.DAV.org DAV’s employment program connects transitioning active duty, guard and reserve members, veterans and their spouses with employers. There is no fee for the services we provide to you, and by registering with us you will receive updates on employment related news, and be accessible to employers who are seeking your talent.

LEEK Preserve:  LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve is a volunteer-run facility dedicated to offering therapeutic outdoor programs for wounded veterans with all levels of disabilities.

Make The Connection: is an online resource designed to connect Veterans, their family members and friends, and other supporters with information, resources, and solutions to issues affecting their lives.

Mana HouseIn 2008, a group of 14 veterans experiencing homelessness got together in Phoenix to help each other out. Mesa Utilities: Learn more about: Electric; Gas; Solid Waste; Water conservation; Water and Wastewater.  Request a new account and turn off utility service. Mailing address change; budget billing; paperless billing; select due date; SurePay enrollment;  appliance pickup request; bulk pickup request; barrel repair or replacement; missed pickup request; residential grass to xeriscape rebate; wastewater fee adjustment; water meter adjustment; and alarm permits.

Mesothelioma.net is filed with information on mesothelioma treatments and doctors, asbestos trust funds for victims, and a lot more. They also sponsor The American Cancer Society, the MD Cancer Center, and the Make a Wish Foundation.

Military One Click:  Military One Click is a website with various resources for veterans and service members.

Military One Source:  Military One Source is a website with support information for veterans and current service members.

Outward Bound for Veterans:  Outward Bound for veterans provides free courses for  returning service members and recent veterans to readjust to life at home through powerful wilderness courses that draw on the healing benefit of teamwork and challenge through use of the natural world.

Patriot Guard: Motorcycle riders who attend funerals for military service members, firefighters, and police officers at the request of the families.

Pets for Vets,   Vets Adopt Pets,    Pets for Patriots  are organizations dedicated to supporting veterans and providing shelter pets by rescuing, training, and pairing them with America’s vetersn who could benefit from a having a companion animal.

Project Healing Waters:  Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities, including education and outings.

Save the Family: Family homelessness is damaging to everyone.  Save the Family empowers families to conquer homelessness and achieve life-long independence.

S.T.U.F.F. Thrift Store: (Special Treasures of Useful Fashions & Furniture) 99% of the proceeds from the store go to provide for Veterans, Food Pantry, and Outreach Programs by Resurrection Street Ministry and for group home residents in recovery homes.

Team Rubicon USA: Team Rubicon USA unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.

Team RWB: Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

Together We Served:  Together We Served is an online community connecting and honoring every American who has worn the uniform of the United States military. This is where you reconnect with old friends or share your service story as a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Troops to Teachers:  Troops to Teachers assists in training veterans to become K-12 teachers.

United Food Bank:  Providing more than 51,000 meals to hungry people in Arizona every day.

Veterans For Veterans:  We supply good quality donated furniture and household items to formerly homeless veterans to help as they reenter society.

Vietnam Veterans of America: Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the only national Vietnam veterans organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families.

Woofstock: Is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling disabled veterans to live a more productive life through the use of service animals.
