Q.  Doesn’t the DAV get funds from the federal government?

A.   Contrary to popular belief, DAV receives no money or grants from the federal government. Our service programs are sustained by contributions such as yours.

Q.  How do I make a contribution?

A.   Reach out to the Commander (press 3) or our Adjutant (press 2); we will discuss your best options available at 602.249.0425; our mailing address is: DAV Phoenix Chapter #1 111 East Dunlap STE 1-602, Phoenix, AZ 85020.

Q.  Is my contribution tax deductible?

A.  Yes. The Disabled American Veterans is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Title 26 United States Code, Section 501 (c)(4), and contributions to the DAV are deductible under 26 U.S.C. 170(c)(3).

Q.  How much of my donation goes to help disabled veterans?

A.  96.66% of all donations goes to helping our disabled veterans (source: Charity Navigator )

Q.  What do I need to bring with me when I come in to file a claim?

A.  Your DD-214 (Discharge papers), Valid ID.

Q.  Do I need an appointment?

A. Our CSO (Chapter Service Officers) are available by phone for any questions & help with your forms/claim; Please call one of our CSO during the times listed below:
